Habitat and Description: Attwater Prairie Chicken NWR; locally common in claypan spots within coastal prairie grassland on loamy prairie site. Grassland matrix probably dominated by Schizachyrium scoparium, Paspalum plicatulum, Sorghastrum nutans. Claypan spots dominated by Euthamia pulverulenta, Aristida longespica var. geniculata, A. oligantha, Iva angustifolia.
