Habitat and Description: Common in calcareous, moderately alkaline silty clay loam (Balmorhea Series, Cumulic Haploquolls) on unshaded banks of pool and spring run at East Sandia Spring. Assc. incl. Eleocharis rostellata, Helianthus paradoxus, Eustoma sp., Distichlis spicata, Sporobolus airoides, Juncus cf. balticus, Baccharis salicina, Tamarix sp.
