Locality: United States, Texas, Cameron, Central part of Southmost Ranch Preserve, 1.6 airmiles SE to ESE of jct. FM 3088 (Indiana Ave.) and FM 1419. Southmost Ranch Preserve. Southmost Quadrangle. Elev. 20 - 25 ft.
Habitat and Description: Medium to tall shrub, rare in strip of mesquite-lotebush-palm brush on upland and slope between crop field and resaca Assc. incl. Arundo donax, Celtis pallida, Celtis laevigata, Chiococco alba, Cissus incisa, Condalia hookeri, Cocculus diversifolius, Ehretia anacua, Malvaviscus arboreus, Panicum maximum, Parkinsonia aculeata, Passiflora filipes, P. suberosa, Pennisetum ciliare, Phaulothamnus spinescens, Pithecellobium ebano, Prosopis glandulosa, Salvia coccinea, Sabal mexicana, Serjania sp., Sideroxylon celastrinum, Tragia sp., Xylosma flexuosa, Zanthoxylum fagara, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
