Habitat and Description: Tall shrub, occasional along margin of mesquite-lotebush-palm brush in loamy clay soils of +/- level upland. Associates include Capsicum annuum, Celtis pallida, Citharexylum berlandieri, Cocculus diversifolius, Condalia hookeri, Eupatorium azureum, Forestiera angustifolia, Malvaviscus arboreus, Panicum maximum, Parkinsonia aculeata, Pennisetum ciliare, Phaulothamnus spinescens, Prosopis glandulosa, Randia rhagocarpa, Sabal mexicana, Sideroxylon celastrinum, Zanthoxylum fagara and Ziziphus obtusifolius.
