Habitat and Description: Rare in shrubland on sandy loam on loma. Associates include Aloysia gratissima, Amyris madrensis, Cordia boissieri, Croton cortesianus, C. incanus, Gochnatia hypolecua, Guaiacum angustifolium, Karwinksia humboldtiana, Leucophyllum frutescens, Phaulothamnus spipnescens, Prosposis glandulosa, Salvia ballotiflora, and Zanthoxylum fagara.
