Habitat and Description: Rare in remnant stand of tall brush with emergent palms. Well-drained clay loam of natural levee and slopes along resaca. Associates include Bumelia celastrina, Celtis laevigata, Chiococca alba, Cissus incisa, Cocculus diversifolius, Condalia hookeria, Ehretia anacua, Eupatorium azureumForestiera angustifolia, Leucaena pulverulenta, Malvaviscus arboreus, Parkinsonia aculeata, Passiflora filipes, Phaulothamnus spinescens, Pithecellobium ebano, P. pallens, Prosopis glandulosa, Randia rhagocarpa, Rivina humilis, Sabal mexicana, Salvia coccinea, Sejania brachycarpa, Zanthoxylum fagara, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
