Habitat and Description: Loblolly pine-shortleaf pine-oak forest on well drained fine sandy loam on gently rolling upland underlain by Fleming Formation. Associates include Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Aristolochia reticulata, Asclepias amplexicaulis, Croton argyranthemus, Dichanthelium dichotomum, Dichanthelium lanuginosum, Dichanthelium oligosanthes, Drosera brevifolia, Erigeron strigosus, Euphorbia corollata, Gnaphalium purpureum, Helianthemum carolinianum, Lechae mucronata, Lespedeza sp., Oxalis priceae, Paspalum setaceum, Passiflora lutea, Phlox nivalis, subsp. texensis, Pityopsis graminifolia, Rhynchosia latifolia, Stylosanthes biflora, Tridens flavus, Verbena canadensis.
