Habitat and Description: Common in tight sandy loam in claypan savanna opening in tight sandy loam in claypan savanna opening in post oak - live oak woodland on flats on upper floodplain of intermittent creek. Associates include Aristida longespica, Aristida oligantha, Bothriochloa laguroides, Bouteloua hirsuta, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Evolvulus sericeus, Fimbristylis puberula, gomphrena nealleyi, Helenium amarum, Iva angustifolia, Krameria lanceolata, Opuntia lindheimeri, Paronychia setacea, Portulaca umbraticola, Sida ciliaris, Sporobolus pyramidatus, Xanthisma texanum.
