Habitat and Description: Shrub to 1 ft. tall, locally common on exposure of calcareous sandstone of Goliad Formation. Associates include Agalinis strictifolia, Berberis trifoliolata, Calliandra conferta, Cordia podocephala, Diospyros texana, Eysenhardtia texana, Galphimia angustifolia, Heliotropium tenellum, Liatris mucronata, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Polygala sp., Schoenocaulon texanum, Simsia calva, Wedelia hispida.
