Habitat and Description: Abundant in forb-dominated vegetation on deep loose sand on sandhill within claypan savanna, on undulating landscape containing coastal prairies and live oak mottes underlain by Lissie Formation. Other associates include Chamaecrista fasciculata, Crysopsis pilosa, Cnidoscolus texanus, Croton parksii, Elyonurus tripsacoides, Eupatorium compositifolium, Gaillardia aestivalis, Helianthus debilis, Paspalum plicatum, Prunus texana, Rosa bracteata, Schizachyrium scoparium, Vitis mustangensis, Zanthoxylum sp.
