Habitat and Description: Rare in open huisache woodland on poorly drianed, finer textured soils on flat between sandy slopes, on gently undulating landscape underlain by Lissie Formation. Associates include Acacia smallii, Aster subulatus, Boltonia diffusa, Cyperus articulatus, Euthamia pulverulenta, Gutierrezia texana, Parsilea macropoda, Neptunia lutea, Panicum hians, Setaria parviflora, Tridens albescens.
