Habitat and Description: Rare in sparingly vegetated spots on tight fine sandy loam (Orelia Series) otherwise supporting claypan savanna vegetation of mesquite, huisache and midgrasses, seasonally wet low-lying landscape underlain by Beaumont Formation. Vegetation dominated by Isocoma drummondii and Sporobulus pyramidatus. Other associates include Chloris verticillata, Cienfuegosia drummondii, Grindelia oolepis, Psilactis heterocarpa, and Sida ciliaris.
