Locality: United States, Texas, Refugio, W side of NNW-SSE stretch of road through Northwest Runner Pasture on Welder Ranch, 2.1 mi. W of Jct. with main ranch road, ca. 1.7 airmiles SE of center of South Nicholas Lake. Vidaurri Quadrangle. Elev. 70 - 75 ft.
Habitat and Description: Locally common in sparingly vegetated spots on tight fine sandy loam (Orelia Series) otherwise supporting claypan savanna vegetation of mesquite, huisache and midgrasses, seasonally wet low-lying landscape underlain by Beaumont Formation. Vegetation dominated by Isocoma drummondii and Sporobulus pyramidatus. Other associates include Xanthisma texanum, Aristida sp., Chloris verticillata, Psilactis heterocarpa, Opuntia lindheimeri, and Sida ciliaris.
