Habitat and Description: Rare, local, 7 shrubs noted along ca. 100 m. of sandy slope densely covered in midgrasses and dotted with mesquite and mottes of live oak. Associates include Argythamnia pilosissima, Castilleja indivisa, Cnidoscolus texanus, Dichanthelium sphaerocarpon, Eupatorium compositifolim, Hymenopappus artemisiifolius, Lesquerella lindheimeri, Lupinus subcarnosus, Opuntia lindheimeri, Pediomelum rhombifolium, Phlox drummondii, Rudbeckia hirta, and Yucca constricta.
