SE of its Jct. with main N-S road through Galveston Bay Prairie Chicken Preserve, ca. 3.7 airmiles N to NNE of Jct. St. Rt. 146 and St. Rt. 197. Texas City Quad. Elev. 5 - 6 ft.

Habitat and Description: Rare, one colony along margin of post oak mottes on loamy soils. Associates include Quercus stellata, Ilex vomitoria, Bumelia lanuginosa, Rhus toxicodendron, Baptisia sphaerocarpa, Berchemia scandens, Briza minor, Callirhoe involucrata, Cyperus cf. croceus, Dichanthelium lanuginosum, Elymus canadensis, Fimbristylis caroliniana, Gaura lindheimeri, Juncus marginatus, Linum medium, Lythrum alatum, Panicum hians, Paspalum plicatulum, Phalaris caroliniana, Polytaenia nuttallii, Rhynchospora globularis, Rudbeckia hirta, Ruellia humilis, Sabatia campestris, Sida rhombifolia, and Verbena brasiliensis.
