Habitat and Description: Common along fenceline between heavily grazed pasture on clay soils and ungrazed grassy railroad ROW on somewhat sandier soils. Associates include Ambrosia psilostachya, Croton capitatus, Cynodon dactylon, Gutierrezia texana, Helianthus praecox ssp. runyonii, Indigofera suffruticosa, Lantana camara, L. urticoides, Malvaviscus arboreus, Panicum maximum, Salvia coccinea and Setaria leucopila.
