Habitat and Description: Rare in open huisache woodland on poorly drained, finer textured soilson flat between sandy slopes, on gently undulating landscape underlain by Lissie Formatoin. Associates include Acacia smallii, Aster subulatus, Botlonia diffusa, Cyperus articulatus, Euthamia pulverulenta, Gutierrezia texana, Marsilea macropoda, Neptunia lutea, Panicum hians, Setaria parviflora and tridens albescens.
