Habitat and Description: Locally common in sandy saline clay and shell in bed of truck road along edge of shrub land on natural oystershell ridge, about halfway between Big Brundrett Lake and Ayres Dugout. Components of shrubland include Acacia smallii, Amyris texana, Baccharis halamifolia, Borrichia frutescens, Celtis pallida, Cissus incisa, Condalia hookeri, Diospyros texana, Forestiera angustifolia, Iva frutescens, Lantana horrida, Lycium berlandieri, L. carolinianum, Opuntia leptocaulis, O. lindheimeri, Opuntia macrorhiza, Prosopis glandulosa, Sideroxylon celastrinum, Solanum triquetrum, Yucca treculeana, Zanthoxylum fagara, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
