Habitat and Description: Common in gas pipeline clearing through mesquite-pricklypear woodland on slightly elevated rise within landscape of succulent-dominated "marsh" on heavier occasionally-inundated clay soils, floodplain of Nueces River. Associates include Payjacksonia phyllocephala, Prosopis reptans, Eriochloa contracta, Buchloe dactyloides, Atriplex texana, Heliotropium curassavicum, Nothoscordum bivalve, Borrichia frutescens, Sesuvium verrucosum.
