Habitat and Description: Locally common on exposure of calcareous sandstone of Goliad Formation on unshaded sloping highway R.O.W. Associates include Baccharis texana, Berberis trifoliolata, Calliandra conferta, Cordia podocephala, Diospyros texana, Eysenhardtia texana, Galphimia angustifolia, Heliotropium tenellum, Liatris mucronata, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Polygala sp., Schoenocaulon texanum, Simsia calva, Wedelia hispidia.
