Habitat and Description: Occasional (not rare!) in patches of relatively sparse vegetation on patches of relatively tight sandy load on gently rolling topography underlain by Goliad Formation. Matrix grassland lightly grazed, dominated by Paspalum plicatulum. Associated in tighter soils include Astranthium integrifolium, Eragrostis sessilispica, Galactia marginalis, Krameria lanceolata, Liatris punctata, Monarda clinopodioides, Neptunia pubescens, Polygala incarnata, Rhynchospora harveyi.
