Locality: United States, Texas, Live Oak, Just inside (W of) gate at entrance to Jim Williams property, ca. 1.0 roadmiles SW of Co. Rd. 107 from a point 2.2 roadmiles NW of its Jct. with Co. Rd. 164, ca. 3 airmiles N of Anna Rose. Elm Creek Quadrangle.
Habitat and Description: Common in crusted sandy loam in openings in mesquite-mixed brush shrubland on gentle upper slope underlain by Fleming Formation (Miocene) or calichified Holocene sand. Associates include Abutilon wrightii, A. fruticosum, Acalypha radians, Ambrosia confertiflora, Boerhavia coccinea, Cassia aristellata, Cordia podocephals, Croton monanthogynus, Croton capitatus, Dyssodia tenuiloba, Forestiera tripteris, Froelichia gracilis, Galactia heterophylla, Gutierrezia texana, Indigofera miniata, Kallstroemia parviflora, Melampodium cinereum, Oxalis dichondrifolia, Parthenium hysterophorus, Pediomelum rhombifolium, Phyllanthus abnormalis, Rhynchosia americana, Rivina humilis, Sida abutifolia, Simsia calva, and Verbesina microptera.
