Habitat and Description: Occasional in deep, well drained, calcareous, mildly alkaline, fine sandy loam (Hardeman Series, Typic Ustochrrepts) in mown lawn/grassland on level upland on Pleistocene terrace deposits. Associates include Acalypha radians, Aristda purpurea, Boerhavia coccinea, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Bouteloua hirsuta, B. rigidiseta, B. trifida, Cenchrus incertus, Chloris cucullata, C. verticillata, Cnidoscolus texanus, Eragrostis secundiflora, Heterotheca latifolia, Leptoloma cognatum, Pediomelum rhombifolium, Rhyllanthus abnormis, Richardia tricocca, and Sporobolus cryptandrus.
