Habitat and Description: Occasional, rooted in fractures of N-facing vertical bluff of Edwards Limestone. Associates include Perityle angustifolia, Penstemon baccharifolius, Mimosa borealis, Acalypha neomexicana, Erigreron modestus, Rhus virens, Ungnadia speciosa, and Quercus pungens var. vaseyana.
