Habitat and Description: Rare, a few plants in mixed evergreen-deciduous riparian woodland or forest strip on narrow alluvial terrace and colluvial slope at foot of limestone bluff. Associates include Celtis laevigata, Ulmus crassifolia, Quercus fusiformis, Juniperus ashei, Cornus drummondii, Ptelea trifoliage, Cocculus carolinus, Aster texanus, Chasmanthium latifolium, Malvaviscus arboreus, Senecio obovatus, Rhus toxicodendron, Paspalum langei, Elymus virginicus, Bromus pubescens, Carex planostachys, and C. bulbostylis.
