Habitat and Description: Dominant in small strip of heavily grazed intermediate marsh on deep, poorly drained acid clay Entic Pelluderts (Beaumont Series). Associates include Spartina patens, Baccharis halamifolia, Bacopa monnieri, Cyperus articulatus, Cyperus cf. polystachyos, Echinochloa sp., Eleocharis sp., Iva frutescens, Pluchea camphorata, Rumex crispus, and Sesbania drummondii.
