Habitat and Description: In medium stature thornscrub on sandy loam on gentle slopes underlain by Goliad Formation. Woody associates include Acacia berlandieri, A. rigidula, Berberis trifoliolata, Bernardia myricifolia, Colubrina texensis, Condalia hookeri, Coroton incanus, Diospyros texana, Eysenhardtia texana, Guaiacum angustifolium, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Leucophllum frutescens, Lippia graveolens, Opuntia sp., Salvia ballotiflora, Schaefferia cuneifolia, Sophora secundiflora, Tiquilia canescens, Wedelia texana, Yucca treculeana, and Zanthoxylum fagara.
