Habitat and Description: Common in grassland dotted with Nolina texana and Yucca elata, on gentle gravelly-rocky igneous upper slopes. Other associates include Aphanostephus sp., Astrgalus wootonii, Baileya multiradiata, Berberis trifoliolata, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Bouteloua sp., Calylophus hartwegii, Condalia ericoides, Croton pottsii, Dalea wrightii, Dyschoriste decumbens, Dyssodia acerosa, Gaura coccinea, Lesquerella fendleri, Linum puberulum, Mentzelia multiflora, Opuntia sp., Senecio riddellii, and Thelesperma ambiguum.
