Habitat and Description: Rare on lower slopes of mesic limestone canyon with exposures of Upper Glen Rose (upper slopes with Edwards Limestone), in shade of deciduous/evergreen canyon forest dominated by Ulmus crassifolia, Quercus buckleyi, Prunus serotina ssp. eximia, Juglans major, Juniperus ashei. Other associates include Aesculus pavia var. flavescens, Cercis canadensis var. texensis, Rhamnus caroliniana, Viburnum rufidulum, Morus microphylla, Sophora secundiflora, Rhus virens, Carex planostachys, and Anemia mexicana.
