Habitat and Description: Rare in alluvial gravel on shelf. Woody associates include Acacia berlandieri, Bernardia myricifolia, Bumelia lanuginosa, Ceanothus herbaceous, Celtis reticulata, Diospyros texana, Eupatorium havanense, Forestiera reticulata, Juniperus ashei, Leucaena retusa, Quercus pungens var. vaseyana, Rhus virens, Rhus toxicodendron, Salvia ballotiflora, Sophora secundiflora, Ungnadia speciosa, Vitis monticola, and Yeatesia platystegia.
