Locality: United States, Texas, Hardin, Village Creek State Park, E edge of Lumberton. Jct. of Water Oak and Village Slough Nature Trails ("Cross Roads"). 50-100 m. E and S of main park road on high terrace between Village and Sandy Sloughs.

Habitat and Description: Well drained sandy stream terrace or ridge, openings and open woodland of mixed pine (longleaf, loblolly, shortleaf) and upland hardwoods (probably remnant longleaf pine dry savanna). Rays and disks yellow. Common in openings.
