Locality: United States, Texas, Hardin, Village Creek State Park, E edge of Lumberton. High alluvial terrace overlooking Village Creek near group cabin and canoe launch.

Habitat and Description: Well drained sandy stream terrace or ridge, opening at edge of woodland of mixed pine (longleaf, loblolly, and shortleaf) and upland hardwoods (probably remnant longleaf pine dry savanna). Rays and disks yellow. Locally common.
