Locality: United States, Texas, Calhoun, Along the crest of a shell ridge along Matagorda Bay. Along road along the edge of Matagorda Bay. Ca. 0.3 mi. S of the end of Rt. 316, ca. 0.2 mi. N of the statue of LaSalle, and ca. 3 mi. S of Magnolia Beach along the road at the edge of the bay.
Habitat and Description: Shrub 8 ft. tall. Occasional. Growing in a scrubby thicket with Forestiera angustifolia, Zanthoxylum fagara, Condalia hookeri, Diospyros texana, Erythrina herbacea, Bumelia celastrina, Bumelia lanuginosa, Malvaviscus arboreus var. drummundii, Sophora secundiflora and Yucca treculeana.
