Habitat and Description: Frequent in juniper-dotted grassland on very gravelly clay on undulating ridgetop of Edwards Limestone. Old pasture seasonally dominated by Hymenoxys odorata. Other associates include Allium drummondii, Ammoselinum popei, Aristida spp., Bouteloua trifida, Chaetopappa bellioides, Condalia viridis, Croton dioicus, Dyssodia pentachaeta, Erioneuron pilosum, Evax spp., Galium proliferum, Juniperus pinchotii, Lepidium spp., Plantago helleri, P. rhodosperma, Prosopis glandulosa var. glandulosa, Spermolepis inermis, Tiquilia canescens, and Yucca reverchonii.
