Habitat and Description: Rare in open juniper-oak shrubland on E-facing rimrock of Edwards Limestone and adjacent upper rubble slope. Woody associates include Acacia roemeriana, Agave lechuguilla, Berberis trifoliolata, Bernardia obovata, Dasylirion texanum, Diospyros texana, Echinocereus triglochidiatus, Eysenhardtia texana, Fendlera rupicola, Forestiera angustifolia, F. reticulata, Guaiacum angustifolium, Juniperus cf. pinchotii, Opuntia lindheimeri, O. leptocaulis, Perityle angustifolia, Quercus pungens var. vaseyana, Wedelia hispida, and Yucca reverchonii. Species is much more common in gravelly alluvium along creek.
