Habitat and Description: Locally fequent in mixed shrubland on thin soils over reddish-brown clay (El Pico Clay?). Associates include Acacia rigidula, A. berlandieri, Condalia hookeri, Salvia ballotiflora, Eysenhardtia texana, and Rhus microphylla.
