Habitat and Description: Occasional in shallow stony soils on Cretaceous limestone (Washita Group) exposed at top of slope. Woody associates include Ayenia microphylla, Berberis trifoliolata, Coryphantha macromeris, Ephedra sp., Ferocactus hamatacanthus, Flourensia cernua, Fouquieria splendens, Leucophyllum minus, Rhus microphylla and Yucca torreyi.
