Habitat and Description: Locally common with Malachra capitata on sandy to muddy alluvium on sunny flat between open water and bordering baldcypress-willow forest. Other herbaceous accosiates include Polygonum pensylvanicum, Phyla sp., Aster spinosus, A. subulatus, Mecardonia procumbens, Sesbania sp., Cynodon dactylon, Diodia virginiana.
