Habitat and Description: Rare in medium-stature thornscrub on shallow sandy loam on gentle slope underlain by Goliad Formation. Associates include Acacia rigidula, Salvia ballotiflora, Zanthoxylum fagara, Leucophyllum frutescens, and Diospyros texana.
