Habitat and Description: Occasional in forb-dominated openings in live oak savanna on grayish loamy sand representing isolated deposit of Deweyville Formation. Associates include Acalypha radians, Ambrosia psilostachya, Cenchrus spinifex, Chamaecrista fasciculata, Chenopodium ambrosioides, Cnidoscolus texanus, Croptilon divaricatum, Croton parksii, Cynodon dactylon, Digitaria texana, Diodia teres, Elyonurus tripsacoides, Eragrostis secundiflora, Eriogonum multiflorum, Froelichia floridana, Gaillardia aestivalis, Heterotheca subaxillaris, Palafoxia sp., Polypremum procumbens, Rhynchosia americana, Schizachrium scoparium, Sclerocarpus uniserialis, Senna occidentalis, Sida lindheimeri, and Trachypogon secundus.
