Habitat and Description: Frequent along margins of small shrub mottes on sandy loam in pasture in good condition. On higher part of undulating coastal prairie landscape underlain by Goliad Formation. Prairie grassland domingated by Schizachyrum scoparium, Paspalum plicatulum, Elyonurus tripsacoides, Trachypogon secundus, shrub mottes composed of Zanthoxylum fagara, Z. hirsutum, Berberis trifoliolata, Prosopis glandulosa, Condalia hookeri, Opuntia lindheimeri, and Sideroxylon lanuginosum.
