Locality: United States, Texas, Presidio, Chinati Mtns. State Natural Area. Boulder Canyon, on steep, grassy NW-facing bouldery slopes draining N slope of Chianti Peak. Small arroyo in sight of lowest windmill. Elev. 5449 ft.

Habitat and Description: Gray Oak woodland with Quercus grisea, Juniperus, Agave hardiana, Dasylirion, Nolina, Opuntia engelmannii, O. imbricata, Adolphia infesta, Tecoma stans, Rhus, Morus microphylla, Bouvardia, and abundant grasses including Bouteloua curtipendula. Erect subshrub 75 cm. tall. Fls. yellow.
