Habitat and Description: Prairie opening in Post Oak/Blackjack Oak woods. Gentle slopes. Bonti-Truce Soils. 1-8% slopes. Associates include Linum hudsonioides, Erigeron strigosus, Tephrosia virginiana, Lespedeza sp., Dichanthelium linearifolium, Schizachyrium scoparium, Coreopsis tinctoria, Oxalis stricta, Quercus stellata, Ulmus crassifolia, Smilax bono-nox, and Solidago sp. Uncommon.
