Habitat and Description: At base of seep on W-facing canyon wall w. Opuntia, Dasylirion, Fouquieria, Aloysia wrightii, Brickellia, Jatropha, Acacia, Bouteloua curti., Digitaria, Eragrostis, etc. on slopes just above. Igneous gravel and boulders. Perennial herb from somewhat corky taproot, stems rambling over boulders. Infls axillary and more or less erect, up to nearly 30 cm tall. Calyx, pedicels, bracts all puberulent w. white, hooked hairs. Fls. pink q. green keel.
