Habitat and Description: Open Little Bluestem prairie. Gentle slopes. Bonti Fine Sandy Loam soils. 1-5 % slopes. Associates include Schizachyrium scoparium, Dalea enneandra, Gaillardia aestivalis, Cirsium undulatum, Bothriochloa ischaemum var. songarica, Thelesperma filifoliu, and Lespezeda virginica. Uncommon.
