Locality: United States, Texas, Hardin, Village Creek State Park, E edge of Lumberton. Along Village Slough Nature Trail ca. 100 m. S of Jct. with Water Oak Trail, on high terrace between Village and Sandy Sloughs.

Habitat and Description: Well drained sandy stream terrace or ridge, openings and open woodland of mixed pine (longleaf, loblolly, and shortleaf) and upland hardwoods (probably remnant longleaf pine dry savanna). Dense clump over half meter diam. Scattered in light shade.
