Locality: United States, Texas, Montgomery, Lake Houston State Park, along and S of FM 1485, 3 mi. E of New Caney. Along W side of Peach Creek, mostly on level terrace of HQ area.

Habitat and Description: Mixed hardwood (laurel oak, white oak, water oak, magnolia, sweet gum)-loblolly pine forest and disturbance openings. Upper sandy terraces in some places incised by old channels and tributaries. Common in disturbance area along entrance road and in light shade.
