Habitat and Description: Rather rare, a dozen or so individuals in among rather sparse vegetation on stony clay on steep eroded slope of gully on moderate slope of Glen Rose Limestone. Associates include Bouteloua pectinata, Garrya lindheimeri, Hedyotis nigricans, Juniperus ashei, Muhlenbergia reverchonii, Oenothera missouriensis, Schizachyrium scoparium and Vernonia lindheimeri.
