Habitat and Description: Occasional in forb-dominated "sandhill" vegetation on deep loose excessively drained sandy soil on +/- level upland underlain by Sparta Sand. Associates include Charnaecrista fasciculata, Cnidoscolus texana, Croptilion sp., Croton argyranthemus, Crotonopsis elliptica, Cyperus grayioides, Euphorbia cordifolia, Froelichia floridana, Helianthemum sp., Helianthus debilis, Lechea sp., Opuntia cf. compressa, Paronychia drummondii, Polanisia erosa, Polygonella polygama, Polypremum procumbens, Quercus incana, Q. margeretta, Yucca louisianica.
