Habitat and Description: Rare along margin of mesquite-mixed brush woodland on perhaps somewhat saline clays a few feet above succulent salt marsh. Associates include Acacia rigidula, Aloysia gratissima, Berberis trifoliolata, Celosia nitida, Celtis pallida, Diospyros texana, Mimosa malacophylla, Opuntia lindheimeri, O. leptocaulis, Pithecellobium ebano, Prosopis glandulosa, Setaria texana, Wissadula amplissima, Xylothamia palmeri, Yucca treculeana, Zanthoxylum fagara, and Ziziphus obtusifolius.
